Julian Richards
Julian Richards is the senior leader of Cornerstone Church Swansea, Wales. Julian entered full time Ministry after graduation from Bible College in 1985. Julian married Sarah in 1985, and they now have three children. They have been living in Swansea since 1989. After several years working for a inter-denominational organisation and youth pastoring he and Sarah pioneered Cornerstone church in 1991.
Other aspects of Julian’s Ministry include:
• President of Gweini : The Counsel for Christian Community work in Wales. An organisation providing representation to Welsh Government on behalf of Welsh Churches and membership support to churches involved in community work.
• Board member of the Evangelical Alliance UK and Wales. The Evangelical Alliance UK, formed in 1846, is an umbrella group representing over one million evangelical Christians in the UK and is made up of member churches, organisations and individuals. As part of a movement ‘uniting to change society’, the Alliance promotes unity and truth, acts as an evangelical voice to the state, society and the wider Church, and provides resources to help members and other evangelicals live out their faith in their communities.
• Chairman of the Swansea Churches Forum. The forum of Church leaders in the City of Swansea engaging with local Government officials and Political leaders.
• Member of the leadership team of Wales Wide . A cross stream and Wales-wide church planting and church strengthening network
• Julian has co-authored “The Naked Church”, a Gweini publication that helps churches go beyond the church meeting, and into the community.
