Sarah Richards
Sarah Richards is a senior leader of Cornerstone Church, Swansea.
Sarah qualified as a teacher in 1985 and has worked full time serving the church. She has energy for strategy and development for building church. She is an experienced communicator and her responsibilities include preaching and teaching, training & mentoring new talent.
Sarah worked full-time as Director of The Gap project, an award-winning education initiative for young people in the community disaffected with school from Jan ’98 to Jan 2010. The Gap won the Lord Mayors Regeneration Award for the most outstanding contribution to community regeneration in the City & County of Swansea, and had been presented to the Queen in recognition of the church’s work with young people.
Sarah serves as Director of Cornerstone Community Project a collection of projects that seeks to serve the community through a variety of relevant activities. Sarah is a regular speaker at secular conferences on the issues of youth disaffection. She contributes to Pioneer’s DNA course each year.
Sarah is a part of Pioneer’s leadership team, the National Churches Forum and a board member of Willow Creek UK & Ireland. Sarah has a passion to see church connecting with its members and its community, and has been involved in leadership for 24 years.
